About Pastor

Ashish Joseph Maxton

Born in a Christian family to an evangelist, Rev. Dr. M. M. Maxton and Mrs. Shail Maxton. Ashish Joseph Maxton is M. A. in Sociology, also a graduate of Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, affiliated to the historic Senate of Serampore College (University) Serampore in West Bengal, India. Serampore was granted the status of university in 1829, making it India's first institution to have the status of a university. The college was founded by the missionaries Joshua Marshman, William Carey and William Ward (the Serampore trio), to give an education in Arts and Sciences to students of every "caste, colour or country" and to train a ministry for the growing Church in India.

Ashish Joseph Maxton has served Methodist, CNI and International Churches during his Pastoral training in Pune, India.

Before joining the Lal Bagh Methodist Church, under the Lucknow Regional Conference of the Methodist Church in India, on April 1, 2008, Ashish Joseph Maxton served the Lord for 13 years through the ministry of India Every Home Crusade also known around the world as Every Home for Christ (formerly known as World Literature Crusade). He also taught at Mont Fort College for a year. He served as a Pastor at Joshua Warne Denning Memorial Methodist Church in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, India where he served for 3 years until March 30th 2008 where he was responsible for overseeing the Church ministries.

He brings a wealth of experience across a range of fields, including Church planter, Counselor, Coach, Social worker, co-founder of a non-profit, the Lighthouse Ministries in India and he is also a Musician. He can play Keyboards, Accordion, harmonica, drums and Indian instrument Tabla.

Ashish Joseph Maxton is married to Anita Jasmine who is the Church Sunday School superintendent. They have a daughter, Ashnita Shakina (22) and a son, Abhineet Samuel (13)

The whole family is very dedicated & committed for the ministry. They enjoy singing and worshipping through music also.
